Arizona busy on its way, ‘Cheongunma’ Marte is back…It will help the team chase the leading Dodgers.

“Cheongun Mama” infielder Kedel Marte (31) returned to Arizona, which has a busy way to go to the postseason.

The Arizona club said in a press release distributed on the 7th (Korea Standard Time), “We include infielder Kedel Marte, who was on the 10-day injured list due to an injury to his left ankle, on the roster.” 스포츠토토

To make Marte’s return from injury, Arizona added, “We send outfielder Hohe Barossa (23), who was on the existing 28-man roster, to the minor league Triple-A team using the option.”

Marte, who has already become a 10-year veteran of the Major League this year, is a key player who is considered an indispensable and irreplaceable resource for Arizona. Prior to his ankle injury, Marte played in 116 games this season, posting an outstanding batting average of 0.298, 30 homers, 81 RBIs and six steals. His on-base plus slugging percentage stands at a whopping 0.930.

As of Tuesday, Arizona is ranked third among the five teams in the Western Division of the National League with 79 wins and 62 losses and a 0.560 win rate. Though chances are slim that the team will advance to the postseason by winning the district championship, it is still possible to play in the fall baseball through the three wild cards assigned to the National League.

Atlanta and the New York Mets are competing for the third place in the National League Wild Card Race, with the San Diego-Arizona teams in first and second place as of Thursday. Therefore, Marte’s return, an irreplaceable player, is expected to be a big boost to Arizona’s power.
