Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has brutally judged Endo Wataru’s fate.
Britain’s TBR Football reported on the 14th (Korea time) that Carragher thought Arne Slot would sell Endo.
Rumors of a transfer to Endo have been raised steadily recently. This is the aftermath of Jurgen Klopp’s departure after the 2023-2024 season. Initially, Klopp had high expectations by appointing Endo, and Endo ended up with a great evaluation even though it was the first season of the English Premier League. However, everything has changed since the inauguration of the slot manager.
Slot made efforts to identify defensive midfielders who fit his tactics during the pre-season. Several players, including Endo, played the position. However, the slot was not chosen by Endo. Regardless of such news, Carragher decided that the slot would sell Endo. It was the opposite of how he always praised Son Heung-min, an Asian player, for being the best player in EPL history.

“I think if I was a starter in the previous pre-season game, I would have a good opportunity to start in the future,” Carragher said. “The slot used Hravenberg as No. 6 on that day. What stands out in the defensive midfielder position is that all the players except Endo were put in. At the beginning of the pre-season, Endo had difficulties in the position. I think Endo will leave, and I’m pretty sure. He is the opposite of what he wants in the role. I think he will use virtually every player instead of Endo, and I will use anyone instead of Endo.”
Meanwhile, some British media predicted the possibility of a transfer, mentioning other clubs’ interest in Endo. The Sun said, “Marsayu can come back with a proposal for Endo, and Celtic under coach Brandon Rogers can also compete. However, a transfer fee of 15 million pounds (or 26 billion won) could be a difficult amount for Celtic.”
Even Liverpool Legend turned a blind eye to Endo, who played last season. If there is no reversal, there will be no more Endo in Liverpool’s plan.
