Coach Kim Eun-joong, who led the U-20 World Cup to the semifinals, appoints Suwon FC head coach

Coach Kim Eun-joong, who led South Korea to the semifinals for the second consecutive time in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, will lead Suwon FC in the K-League 1.

Suwon FC officially announced on the 20th that it has appointed head coach Kim Eun-jung.

Suwon FC paid attention to the leadership of head coach Kim Eun-jung, who led the national team stably to the semi-finals at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina from June to July.

Suwon FC, which has been disgraced with 76 runs in the 2023 season, plans to lay the groundwork for another leap forward with head coach Kim Eun-joong next year.

An official from Suwon FC said, “Maybe because Suwon FC focused on offensive football this year, it was painful that the balance of offense and defense collapsed,” adding, “We will continue to play offensive football by adding stable soccer.”

Coach Kim Eun-joong made his professional debut with Daejeon Citizen in 1997 and played for FC Seoul, Jeju United, and Gangwon FC.

Since 2014, he has been a playing coach in Daejeon and gained coaching experience in 2015-2017 with the Belgian fourth-division team AFC Tubiz.

He coached Kim Hak-beom from 2017 to 2021, and made his debut as a coach for the U-20 team last year. It is the first time that Kim Eun-joong is a professional team coach.

Coach Kim Eun-joong said through the club, “I feel a great responsibility, but I clearly know what my role is,” adding, “I will do my best to meet expectations as it is a new challenge for me.”

Choi Soon-ho, head of Suwon FC, said, “As confirmed at the U-20 World Cup, head coach Kim Eun-joong is a young but ready coach who has steadily gained leadership experience,” adding, “We will show good results based on our clear soccer philosophy.”

Former coach Kim Do-kyun, who previously directed Suwon FC’s dramatic stay, took the helm of Seoul E-Land FC in the K League 2 on the 14th.

Suwon FC, which was on the verge of being demoted to 11th place in the K League 1 in the 2023 season, revived through the promotion playoff (PO). 헤라카지노

Meanwhile, Suwon FC held the inauguration ceremony of the 8th Chairman Kang Moon-sik at the Suwon Traditional Culture Center the day before.

Kang Moon-sik, chairman of the board, said, “I was deeply impressed by the supporters’ support of ‘I can do it’ during the miraculous promotion PO process. I will also support Suwon FC to grow into a happy civic team with passion and effort.”
