‘Emphasizing continuity’ Klinsmann announces six A-match rosters for November

Jürgen Klinsmann announces the men’s national soccer team for the November A match in his first game in charge.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) will announce the roster for the November A Match in a press release this afternoon.

The two matches will be part of the second round of Asian qualifying for the FIFA Confederations Cup North America 2026. Korea has been drawn in Group C with Singapore, China and Thailand in the second round of qualifying.

In November, Korea will play its first match against Singapore at 8 p.m. on Nov. 16 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium before traveling to China for the second match at 9 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center.

This is the first match for the Klinsmann. Since its inauguration in March, Klinsmann has played a total of eight trials, with A matches in March, June, September and October. During this process, unlike his predecessor, former coach Paulo Bento (now the United Arab Emirates coach), the team did not have a clear direction and did not receive the full support of the fans.

Fortunately, things started to pay off in the September A matches. They drew their first opponent, Wales, 0-0, and earned their first win under Klinsmann in their second match, a 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia.

The team then turned things around in October’s A matches, going unbeaten in four matches (three wins and a draw), including a 4-0 win over Tunisia and a 6-0 win over Vietnam.

After going undefeated against Vietnam, Klansman said, “We’ve gone with our best team to bring continuity and continuity to the team. In November, we start the second round of World Cup qualifiers and then the Asian Cup.” This suggests that the roster will be largely unchanged from the October A match. 토토사이트

There are no injuries, especially in the first team. When asked about his starting lineup, Klinsmann said there are about eight players who are the backbone of the squad.

In addition to “captain” Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton), Cho Kyu-sung (Mitwillan), Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), Hwang In-beom (Zvezda), Lee Jae-sung (Mainz), and Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) are all foreigners. Most of them are in top form, and there are reportedly no major injuries, with the only issue being physical overload due to the large number of appearances.

Other overseas players such as Jeong Woo-young (Stuttgart), Oh Hyun-gyu (Celtic), and Hwang Eui-jo (Norwich City) also performed well, including a goal by Masu-girl, to strengthen the depth of the squad.

In addition, according to the Korea Football Association, most of the players who were called up for the October A match are fit. Domestic players Jung Seung-hyun, Kim Young-kwon, Cho Hyun-woo, Seol Young-woo (Ulsan Hyundai), Kim Jin-soo (Jeonbuk Hyundai), and Lee Soon-min (Gwangju FC), as well as Middle East players Park Yong-woo (Al Ain) and Kim Seung-kyu (Al Shabab), are available.

With no changes to the squad, it is expected that the team will be able to take a positive step towards the North and Central American World Cup if they continue to perform as well as they did in their last A match.

Meanwhile, Klinsmann made his final player checks before the announcement. He returned home on the 3rd and watched the ‘2023 Hana Bank FA Cup’ final between the Pohang Steelers and Jeonbuk Hyundai at the Pohang Steelyard on the 4th.
