Kim Min-sun trades in her old skate boots for top 10s in two consecutive World Cups

‘Ice Queen’ Kim Min-sun (Uijeongbu City Hall) finished eighth in the women’s 1000 meters outside of her main event (500 meters), marking her second consecutive top-10 finish.

Kim finished eighth out of 20 competitors in the women’s 1000 meters with a time of 1 minute, 17.60 seconds at the fourth day of the 2023-2024 International Ice Skating Union (ISU) Speed Skating World Cup at the Lodowa Arena in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland, on Tuesday night (June 10).

Kim finished 17th in the women’s 1000 meters at Day 1, and after a disappointing 15th-place finish at Day 2, she has been improving since Day 3 (7th).
