‘Ice Queen’ Kim Min-sun (Uijeongbu City Hall) finished eighth in the women’s 1000 meters outside of her main event (500 meters), marking her second consecutive top-10 finish.
Kim finished eighth out of 20 competitors in the women’s 1000 meters with a time of 1 minute, 17.60 seconds at the fourth day of the 2023-2024 International Ice Skating Union (ISU) Speed Skating World Cup at the Lodowa Arena in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland, on Tuesday night (June 10).
Kim finished 17th in the women’s 1000 meters at Day 1, and after a disappointing 15th-place finish at Day 2, she has been improving since Day 3 (7th).

After completing the fourth edition of the World Cup, Kim will return home on December 12 and will focus on rest and training for the time being before returning to compete at the ISU Four Continents Championships and the fifth edition of the World Cup in January next year.
