Klinsmann’s change in the midfield…Hong Hyun-seok ruled out with a stress fracture -> Park Jin-seop called up to replace him.

Hong Hyun-seok (KAA Gent) has been ruled out of the November World Cup qualifiers due to injury.

The Korea Football Association announced on Saturday that “Hong Hyun-seok has been removed from the roster due to injury. Park Jin-seop (Jeonbuk Hyundai) has been named in his place,” the KFA officially announced. 아톰카지노 도메인

Jürgen Klinsmann’s men’s national team will play Singapore at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. in the second Asian qualifier for the FIFA Confederations Cup North America 2026. South Korea will then travel to Shenzhen, China, to face China on Sept. 21.

Singapore is a relatively weak opponent, ranked 155th in the FIFA rankings. They are more than 100 spots behind South Korea (24th). With South Korea looking to qualify for their 11th consecutive World Cup, they shouldn’t be too hard to beat.

But Klinsmann wasn’t about to relax. “It’s an important game for the national team. World Cup qualification is a long road. We need to start well,” he said, before adding, “I don’t consider (Singapore) an underdog at all.”

There was a change in the midfield on match day. Hong Hyun-seok, who has emerged as the crown prince of the Klinsmanns, was absent. Hong Hyun-seok had felt discomfort in his left shin area the day before in official training on the 15th. “Hong Hyun-seok was tested by the medical team and visited a hospital, where it was determined that he suffered a microfracture in his left tibia,” the KFA explained.

“Hong’s injury is not a serious injury that allows him to play sports, but it was excluded due to the medical team’s judgment that initial management is important in the case of a fatigue fracture,” the KFA explained.

“It was excluded to give him rest to prevent further injury. Hong Hyun-seok will be recalled after participating in the Singapore match.”

Park Jin-seop, meanwhile, will make his first call-up to the national team. If he plays, he will make his national team debut. “Park joined the national team on the 15th of the previous day,” the KFA announced.
