Men’s world number three Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) has been crowned the DP World Tour (formerly the European Professional Golf Tour) money winner.
McIlroy won his second consecutive DP World Tour money title without competing in the DP World Tour Nedbank Golf Challenge, which concluded today (Sept. 13) at Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa.
Second-ranked Yon Ram (Spain) also missed the event, while third-ranked Adrian Meronk (Poland) was unable to close the gap on McIlroy as he finished in a tie for 15th place.
Only one event remains in the DP WorldTour 2023 season, the DP WorldTour Championship, which kicks off in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on April 16.
McIlroy now has 5,164.5 points in the points-based DP WorldTour money race, a comfortable lead over Lamb with 2,083 points.
In just nine DP World Tour events this year, McIlroy has earned €7.48 million ($1.056 million) in prize money.
Meanwhile, Max Homa (USA) won the Nedbank Golf Challenge with a 19-under-par 269, four strokes clear of Nicolai Hoydor (DEN).
Homa, a six-time winner on the U.S. Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour, won his first DP World Tour event. He earned 961,124 euros, or about 1.35 billion won in Korean won, for his victory. 토토사이트
