Nam Ji-sung (140th in doubles, Sejong City Hall) and Song Min-gyu (399th in doubles, KDB Development Bank) continued their hopes of advancing to the finals for the third consecutive year by winning one doubles in the final round of the 2024 Davis Cup.
Nam Ji-sung and Song Min-gyu won the doubles at IGA Stadium in Montreal, Canada on the 4th, 6-46-7(4) 6-3 over Vasek Pospisil (576th in doubles) and Alexis Gallano (553th in doubles).
Nam Ji-sung and Song Min-gyu won both doubles in the final round of the finals, including Austria in 2022, Belgium in 2023, and Canada this year.
The national team lost two singles matches on the 3rd and was tied at 0-2, but won the doubles to continue the match with three singles matches.
Hong Sung-chan (224th in the world, Sejong City Hall) and Gabriel Diallo (132th in the world) will face off in three singles matches.
