A man who assaulted and attempted to sexually assault a woman living in the same apartment building in Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do was caught in an elevator. A similar incident targeting women also occurred in Seoul.
My house elevator is not a safe zone, so women’s anxiety is growing.
Reporter Woo Jong-hoon reports.
A man in his 20s was caught assaulting a neighbor woman in an apartment elevator in Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do the day before yesterday (5th토토사이트).
Her victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries to her face and ribs.
The assault continued until a resident who heard the scream reported it and another resident blocked it.
The police believe that Mr. A had the intention to commit sexual assault.
What’s even more shocking is that Mr. A was a resident living in the same apartment as the victim.
[Residents of the apartment: Despite the distance, the screams were too loud… .
The woman was bleeding and lying down, showing signs of injury on her body, and tried to stop (the perpetrator), but she was not easily shaken off or pushed away. A decision will be made on whether or not to be arrested.
A similar incident occurred in an apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
On the last 3 days, a man in an elevator followed a resident woman in her 20s, blocked the woman’s mouth with her hand, strangled her, and threatened to enter her house.
In this case too, a resident heard the woman’s scream and reported it to the police, but
the man fled through the stairs here before the police arrived after receiving the report.
Police are ramping up patrol around the apartment and looking for a suspect.
[Police officer: We have strengthened patrols, and we are strengthening our duty because we think it is a vulnerable area because it is an area where incidents have occurred.] Even in apartment elevators, which were considered relatively safe places with
CCTVs installed, recently, crimes targeting women alone are continuing.
