Why is Renard leaving the French women’s soccer team?
French media ‘Foot01’ reported on the 9th (Korean time) that “Erbernard, who signed a contract with the French Football Federation until the end of the Olympics, informed Philippe Diallo and Jean-Michelle Olas that he would not continue as coach.”
Renard was a coach who came to the surface when he was playing for the Zambian national team. After taking the helm in 2008, he reached the quarterfinals at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, before returning to Zambia in 2011 to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Renard was appointed head coach of the French women’s national football team in late March 2023 after several key players announced they would no longer play under Corinne Diacre.
