Seo Yoseop “Jack Nicklaus GCK, which is not formidable, the strategy is”

Seo Yo-seop, the signboard of the KPGA Korean Tour, once again challenges for the first win of the season.

On the 26th, Seo Yoseob attended the media interview for ‘Korea Championship BY GENESIS’ held at Jack Nicklaus GCK in Songdo, Incheon.

Seo Yo-seop is receiving a lot of love and attention as a popular golfer and a signboard of the KPGA, winning two wins on the Korean Tour last year.

However, his season start was not satisfactory. In the opening match hosted by her main sponsor, DB Insurance, she aimed for the championship by taking the lead in the early stages, but her ranking fell in the final round.

Regarding this, Seo Yo-seop said, “It’s a pity that I missed my tee shot on the 16th hole on the last day. Still, I did my best, and Gogun-taek, who won the championship, congratulated me because he was so good.” There were minor mistakes in the 3rd and 4th rounds, and I don’t think I was lucky.”

After winning two wins last year, Seo Yo-seop’s goal for this season is to win one more, then three. Here, he is greedy for the Genesis Grand Prize, which he unfortunately missed at the end of the season.

Of course, it’s not easy. Since this tournament also serves as a DP World Tour, a large number of world-class players participate. In addition, Jack Nicklaus GCK is also a difficult environment for Seo Yo-seop.

In fact, from 2018 to 2020, Seo Yo-seop missed the cut for three consecutive years at the golf course where the Genesis Championship was held, and in 2021 and last year, he tied for 25th and 24th, respectively, and did not have much fun.ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Regarding this, Yoseob Seo said, “Personally, I think it is a course that suits me well, but in last year’s Genesis Championship, I lost a lot of strokes on the last day. The 9th hole was especially difficult, but I remember having a hard time managing my condition because it was very windy and the temperature was low. This time, I plan to wear layers of clothes to keep my body temperature warm.”

Regarding the course strategy, “Jack Nicklaus GCK is never easy. If there is a tailwind, there will be many benefits, but if it is a headwind, the difficulty of the course will increase dramatically. It is not easy to put the ball on the green, especially when the wind blows. He has to be good at saving chip shots and managing his condition (due to the weather),” he revealed his strategy.
