‘Scoring right batting average 10%’ Hanwha coach “A vicious circle of pitcher and fielder stress”

Hanwha Eagles coach Carlos Subero looked back on the first month of the 2023 season and cited the team’s scoring position batting average as a regrettable point.

Hanwha’s batting average in scoring position is 0.180, the only one out of 10 clubs that cannot exceed 20%. It is far below LG (0.333) in first place and has a large gap with Doosan Bears (0.225) in 9th place.

In the end, they are at the bottom of the leaderboard (6 wins, 17 losses). It was also unable to overcome the 9th place kt wiz (7 wins, 14 losses), which suffered 9 consecutive losses.

From 2020, the anxiety of being able to stay at the bottom for four consecutive years looms.

Head coach Subero analyzed, ahead of the game against Doosan Bears at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 2nd, “Even if you create a chance, if you can’t bring in a runner, the atmosphere goes over.”

Manager Subero also mentioned the sluggishness of the bullpen. Hanwha’s team saves (1) and holds (8) are at the bottom, ranking 10th and 9th in the league, respectively.

On the positive side, table setters such as Lee Won-seok and Noh Su-gwang, and center liners such as Chae Eun-seong and Noh Si-hwan were active.

Manager Subero said, “#1 hitter Lee Won-seok showed a good on-base percentage (0.433) based on a pioneering plan that he hadn’t shown before, and Roh Soo-gwang’s on-base percentage (0.352) is close to twice that of his batting average (0.211).” Hwan also had a good start.”먹튀검증

Chae Eun-seong and Noh Si-hwan are the only 30% hitters in Hanwha with batting averages of 0.319 and 0.316, respectively.

Coach Subero ordered the Hanwha players to “show their baseball”, saying, “You must be able to control what you can control in the ball, defense, and state.”
